Background
A facility has been provided to update the delivery dates for multiple schedules. The system incorporates automatic request generation if the required date cannot be selected by the user for various reasons but may be able to be approved by another.
Before you begin
- Ensure that you are logged into the login app.
- Ensure you are in the scheduler app.
Steps to take
- Select the schedules that you wish to change the dates for and then right click , select the Change Delivery Date & Time from the menu.
- The following form will appear for the selected items:
PLEASE NOTE : Some schedules cannot have their date changed as they have already been invoiced so are not able to be moved or have a request raised for them. These are indicated by no ticks in the Can Change or Request Change columns.
There are two ways of Change the Date
Changing date using the Incrementer:
The Add option at the top left of the form can be set to add or subtract the given number of days/week/months to either all the schedules or a selected subset.
Set the number to add to -1 and click the "For All" button to bring the delivery dates back on all schedules by one day:
PLEASE NOTE :
- Schedules with flexible delivery dates can be moved, but not before today's date.
- Once a schedule's delivery date hits today's date, it cannot be reduced further.
- The "Can Change" and "Request Change" checkboxes reflect whether you can approve the date change or need approval from someone else.
- If approval is required, a reason will be displayed in the Comment box for the schedule.
Changing the Date using a Specific Date
Select the "Set To" option next to the Add Days selector and select the delivery date required for all or selected schedules:
Once again, the Can Change and Request Change options will change depending on your permissions to set deliveries for the selected date.
Press "Process Changes" to apply the selected dates once you are satisfied with the input.
PLEASE NOTE : For schedules that you are able to change the dates for, the delivery date/time will be updated accordingly.
For schedules that you require a request for, you must supply a reason for each request prior to processing the form. When you have entered the first reason against a schedule requiring a request to process, this reason will be repeated for any other schedule that requires a request when you click on that schedules reason or move the cursor into it.
The "Reset Changes" button will reset the states of the schedules to as they were when you first opened the form.
