Previously a single length has been entered for the A measure of an M-Sheet to allow for processing and pricing of the bar items. While sufficient for the time this is no longer the case as more accuracy and automatic uploading of shape information is required for all bar items being processed.
To this end the M-Sheet bar processing of Scheduler has been enhanced to provide further details of the item to be produced.
When selecting an M-Sheet type shape, the Length field is no longer enterable and must be calculated using the M-Sheet assistant that has been added to the system.
Accessing the helper is through the "Length" button on the bar item form:
Enter the shapes dimensions into the input boxes as required:
- Mark the dimension that a double bender will use as the "grip" dimension when bending the bar item using the Grip Indicator for the dimension.
- The Step and X/Y Angle will be used as input to a standard Schnell bending device
A consideration needs to be made on whether the bar will be bent on a single bender or a double bender.
Consider the following shape to be made on an off-coil single bender type device:
This shape would require the following input
The off-coil machine will translate this as:
* Feed 205mm
* Bend Upwards 90° (While not stated on drawing this must be entered not assumed)
* Feed 220
* Bend upwards 83° (Although 97° stated on drawing, 83° is the required deflection)
* Feed 595
* Bend Downwards 83° (Negative value means bend downwards, once again 83° required)
* Feed 895
* Shear
Consider the following shape to be made on an double bender type device:
This shape would require the following input:
The double bender will interpret this as:
* Grip C Dimension
* At 3,255mm spacing bend both ends 112° away from operator (68° is the drawing angle but the deflection required is 112°. The bender will bend from the extremities inwards)
* At 2,725mm spacing bend both ends 90° away from operator.
In either case the dimensions are entered from left to right and the angles are the amount of deflection required for the bend. Deflection is always in the range of ±180° - Z Angle is for 3D shapes where a rotation is required in addition to the angle between the 2 dimensions
The chargeable bar length and cut length are automatically calculated.
The Load length and Load width values must also be manually entered. This is the floor area space required for the produced bar on a trucks flat-bed and is required for load planning purposes.
The M-Sheet image may be saved and viewed against the bar item at this point by clicking the small arrow button on the right side of the form.
When using this button for the first time, a browser window will appear that allows you to locate and select the required image for the bar item.
Once selected the, the bar item image will be displayed:
Pressing the save button will save the M-Sheet details against the bar item and return the length calculations to the bar item. Clicking the length button again will open the saved dimensions allowing for an edit of the details if required.
