Open Process Explorer

Before you begin

• You have downloaded Process Explorer. See Download Process Explorer.

Steps to take

1. Locate the folder Process Explorer was extracted. See Download Process Explorer.
2. Open the folder
   
3. Select the version you wish to run
   procexp.exe is for 32-bit systems
   procexp64.exe is for 64-bit systems
4. Right-click the version you with to run and select Run as administrator
   While it is not necessary to run Process Explorer as administrator, not doing so may limit what Process Explorer can see. For example, if your user account does not have administrator access, you will likely be able to view only your processes.
   
5. Process Explorer starts
