Filter for a process name

Before you begin

Steps to take

  1. Click Filter > Filter...
    The Process Monitor Filter window shows
  2. Double click the Include action for Process Name is
    Process Name is is transferred to the top
  3. Update the process name to the process you wish to monitor
    In this example, I will monitor notepad.exe
  4. Click Add
    This transfers Process Name is notepad.exe then Include down to the set of filters
  5. Click OK
  6. Run the process
    In this example, I will am using notepad.exe
    As notepad.exe is opened, process operations, file operations, and registry operations flood in
