Customer Account Registration

To begin this process, the customer must first register for an account. The process for this can be found in the link below.

When a customer submits their request, an email will be sent to a designated mail box or group.

Before You Begin

  • Ensure you can access your company's version of Thimbl.
  • Thimbl is accessible anywhere via your web browser of choice.

Setup User Account

  1. Login to your Thimb account
  2. Select Manager Users from the user name drop-down menu

  3. Search for the user account. Selecting the Non-activated users option will filter the list down to those accounts that have not yet been given site permissions or access to jobs. You can futher filter this list by entering user data into the Filter User/Company field.

  1. Assign Permissions relevant to the users role. For example, site managers might require all user permissions. Accounting staff may need invoicing and pricing permissions but not the permissions to submit orders. Steel fixers will need the Steel Fixers Restriction permission added to ensure they do not get pricing information or the ability to place orders.

Select the required permission, then select Update Access.

  2. Set Job Access. If you know the job number that needs to be assigned, enter it into the Search Job field.

Alternatively you can click on the magnifying glass to seach for the job number by the customers name.

  1. Select Assign Job to allow the user to access the jobs information. More than one job can be added if required.

IMPORTANT: You must ensure you assign the correct job number. Adding the wrong job number could lead to the user having sensitive information for another customer.

  2. If required, select Notify User to have the system send the user an automated email to notify them that their account has now been set up
