Resetting Tags in Scheduler

Overview

A limited facility has been introduced to the Scheduler application to allow a user with sufficient permission to reset the print flags for tags or reset the bundle tags issued to an unlocked schedule.

This has come about due to circumstances where a schedule is unlocked and the scheduler requires alterations that will invalidate tags already printed or issued in system.

Previously, the schedule would need to be re-factoried, tags reset in Bundle Tagger or Cut Optimiser, then unlocked again to allow the scheduler to  make the required changes.

Requirements

To perform this action:

• You need permission to be able to reset tags
• You can only reset tags that have been printed but not produced. 
  • If the tags have been produced, the schedule will need to be relocked and tags reset in Bundle Tagger after examination and existing tag retrieval by Production.
• The schedule must be in an unlocked state. Locked schedules cannot be processed using this facility.

Procedure

A right click option has been added to the Bundle Tag View in Schedule events to allow tags to have their print flag reset or to reset the tags entirely.

Open the required schedule in the Scheduler application.

• Open the Schedule Events View by Clicking the button in the Schedule Status cell
  
  
   
• Select the Bundle Tags Tab from the Schedule History form:
  
• Right click the grid  to display the tag reset menu:
  
  
• The available options are:
  • Select All, Select all the tags in the grid
  • Reset Print Flag - Selected - Resets the Tag Printed flag for a selected range of tags
  • Reset Print Flag - All Tags - Resets the Tag Print Flag for all items on the schedule
  • Reset Bundle Tags - Reset the bundle tags for the selected schedule.
    When using this option the tags will be removed from the Bundle Tag grid view when completed
• Choose the appropriate action. A preliminary check will be conducted to check that the action can be performed on the tags and any blocking reasons provided (ie trying to unlock tags that already have production recorded)
• If the tags can be reset a request will appear for the reason why the tags are being reset. 
  
  
   
• Enter the reason and press OK to accept
• The tags will be processed as required.
