I received a "Software Not Activated" notice

The issue

When attempting to perform certain actions in Elda applications, a window appears notifying you that the software needs to activated to continue.

Known causes

When a license key is required

If a license key is required, it is likely the license key has expired.

When a license key is not required

If a license key is not required, it is likely the Windows user account password has expired.

Things to try

When a license key is required

  1. If you have a license key, enter it in
  2. If you do not have a license key or entering a license key did not work, start a conversation with us

When a license key is not required

  1. Reboot your PC
  2. Try and log in again
  3. Windows should advise you need to set your password
  4. If not, log in and try again
  5. otherwise ctrl+alt+delete and reset password
  6. If reinstalling all Elda applications did not work, start a conversation with us
