Pod Calculator

Before you begin

Accessing the Pod Calculator Window

1. Within the scheduler application, create a schedule or open an existing schedule.

For help on creating and locating schedules, see our articles on Creating a New Schedule or Searching for a Schedule

2. Select Calculators from the menu panel.


3. From the sub-categories listed, select  Pod Calculator 


4. This will open the Pod Calculator window. 

5. Select required Pod type by double-clicking on the Pod Description which on the right side of the window and adjust the layout as per requirement and enter the area in each pod type as well. More than one can be added if required. 

6. Enter additional item quantities as required. 

7. Review the details you have entered and select Calculate button. 

8. It will generate a list of products that will be required for the Pod slab and there is some optional additional products to enter in this window based on the requirement.

Please Note: Calculator has added items according to the default item settings for the Pod type. Some of the items (marked with a green asterisk *) have alternative/upgrades items available for selection. For example, the default mesh size for this Pod type is SL72 but the customer requires the mesh to be SL92, you can click on the item code open a drop-down list of alternate item codes to choose from.

9. Adding Additional Items: there are two ways to add additional items to the order. If the additional items are to be included in the square meter pricing rate, it should be entered at this stage using the Add Extra Item option. Any items that need to be added but NOT included in the square meter rate (to be charged on top of the Pod slab at the job rates) must be entered directly into the schedule after the completion of this Pod calculator process.

  • Select the Add Extra Item button

10. Another window open as Product Browser to add items to the order that are to be included in the square meter rate pricing:

  • Select the product type
  • Use the Find field or scroll the products list to find the required product
  • Double click on the product code to add item to the order


11. Another product/item appear in the Pod calculator.

12. Review Per Meter Rate. Enter square Meter Rate into the Per Meter Rate field. The pricing of the items in the order will be adjusted to align with this rate.

13.Once you have reviewed the order, select OK to add the items into the schedule.

14. If you need to add additional items to the order that are not to be included in the Pod items, enter them into the schedule as normal.

 15. To make changes to the Pod items select Calculators, then Pod Calculator. You will see this pop-up message.

  • Yes: this will remove the previous POD calculator items from the schedule. Select this option if you want to make changes to the original Pod items or pricing.
  • No: this still start a new Pod calculation within the same schedule. Changes will not be applied to Pod items already in the schedule. Any new Pod calculations made from this selection will be added to what is already in the schedule.
  • Cancel: this will close the Warning screen with no additional actions.         

16.  The schedule can now follow the standard scheduling processing procedures.
