Application window not appearing on screen

Issue

On starting an Elda (Chrome) application, it appears on the task bar but no window appears.

Causes

Window opening off screen

Typically the cause is the window opening off screen somewhere. For example, if your screen is 1920 x 1080 and the left position is set to 1100, the window will have its left edge just off the right edge of the screen and will not be viewable.

Solutions

1. Locate the application on the Windows Taskbar.
   In this example the Scheduler diary does not display on the screen.
2. Hover over the application.
   The available windows will pop up.
   
   
   
3. Holding down the shift key, right-click on the window you wish to recover.
   
   
   
4. Select Maximise and the window will appear one of the available screens
5. Drag the window by the title bar to restore and reposition the window
6. When the application is closed, the new position will be saved to the Windows registry
