Delivery Notifications

Background

Delivery notifications are automatically sent to the customer prior to the confirmed delivery date. 

PLEASE NOTE: Please reach out to the Bitberry team for confirmation on whether this feature has been configured for your business/branch.

  • Email

    Email notifications will be sent through to the customer's contact email address which is added on the schedule.

  • SMS

    SMS notifications will be sent  through to the customer's contact mobile number which is added on the schedule.


Before you begin

Prerequisites

  • Have contact set for the job, who is enabled to receive delivery notifications or primary contact
  • This contact should have a valid mobile number setup.
  • The schedule should be manifested and out for delivery tomorrow.

 

Steps to follow

  1. Select the manifest you wish to send notifications for by clicking the grey box next to the manifest.
    For help locating an existing manifest, see our article on Finding an Existing Manifest.

  2. Right-click to open the popup menu and select the Send Delivery Notifications menu item. 
  3. Select either Email Notification or SMS Notification.  
  4. This will open the Delivery Notifications window. The contacts on each schedule manifested will be displayed. 
  5. Within this screen you can also opt to select between the Email or SMS function. 
    1. Email Delivery Option

      1. Within the Email delivery notification screen, the contacts for each schedule on the selected manifested will be displayed.

         

      2. Select the contacts you wish to send a delivery notification through to by ticking/unticking the checkbox within the send column.

         

      3. If required, you can update the Contact Name and Email Address within the columns provided.
      4. Selecting the Update contact in Job Details will apply the updated contact information to the job account within scheduler.

         

      5. Once you have selected the contacts and made any necessary updates to the contact information, select Send Notifications.

         

      6. This will load an email/s with the delivery information..
      7. Select Send to email delivery notification to the selected customer.
    2. SMS Delivery Option

      1. Within the SMS delivery notification screen, the contacts for each schedule on the selected manifested will be displayed.

         

      2. Select the contacts you wish to send a delivery notification through to by ticking/unticking the checkbox within the send column.

         

      3. If required, you can update the Contact Name and SMS Phone Number within the columns provided.

         

      4. Selecting the Update contact in Job Details will apply the updated contact information to the job account within scheduler.

         

      5. To preview the SMS being sent select the Preview button, this will display a text box of the delivery notification being sent.

         

      6. To change the delivery notification text, select the options within the SMS Type drop-down box.

         

      7. Once you have selected the delivery notification message, contacts and made any necessary updates to the contact information, select Send Notifications.

         

      8. The SMS will be queued and sent to the selected contact/s.
