How to Map a Network Drive in Windows

This knowledge base article will provide step-by-step instructions on how to map a network drive in windows explorer.


Steps to Follow


  1. Locate the Folder that you need to Map down. (For this example we will use Charuka's folder from  under the User's Folder)
  2. Copy the folder address from the selected Folder.



  3. Right-click on the This PC icon from under the Computer Tab in Windows Explorer. Then select Map network drive....  . 


  4. Enter the Folder Address into the textbox next to the Folder label under the Map Network Drive window. Then click on the Finish button.
    Windows will create a network drive under Network Locations on This PC.
