How to Set Up a Tag Printer Settings

This knowledge base article will guide you on how to set up a Tag printer on your computer.

Before You Begin

  • Ensure that you have installed the Tag Printer.

Steps to Follow

  1.  Just press the Windows button and type in Printers & scanners and select the Printers & scanners option from the Microsoft search menu.


  2. Select your tag printer from the Printers & scanners and click on the Manage button. This will open up a new window with further settings relating to the selected printer.


  3. Click on the Printing Preferences option under the Printer Manage Window.




  4. This will open the Printing Preferences popup window.
    PLEASE NOTE: Use the following recommended settings
    1. Click on the Page Setup tab and apply the below settings.
      1. Select Name: 4x6 (101.6mm x 152.4mm ) under the Page Setup Tab.


      2. Select  Orientation: Landscape


      3. Click on the Apply button.

    2. Click on the  Options tab and apply the below settings
      1. Untick the checkbox next to  Use Current Printer Settings under Printer Speed and select the below settings from the dropdown lists.
        1. Printer: 177.8mm/sec
        2. Slew: 177.8mm/sec
        3. Feed: 177.8mm/sec
        4. Backup: 152.4 mm/sec


      2. Click on the checkbox next to  Print Head Temperature and drag the Slider to the 18th setting.


      3. Click on the Apply button then click on the OK button.
