How to Reset a Panatracker Device


This knowledge-based article will take you through a step-by-step guide on how to reset a Panatracker Device.

Before You Begin

There are two reset functions on a Panatracker Device: Soft Reset, and Hard Reset.

  • Soft Reset -  restarts your Pantracker device by closing all running programs. 
  • Hard Reset -  restarts the Pantracker device but erases all stored records and entries on the device.

How to Perform a Soft Reset on your Pantracker Device

  1. Hold down the Power button for approximately five seconds. This is the Red button on the device.

  2. Release the Power Button once the device prompts you to release the Power button message "Please release Power Key".

  3. The Pantracker  Device will turn off the screen.
    PLEASE NOTE: Please keep holding the Power Button(Red button).

  4. The Pantracker Device will display that it's on the booting process.

  5. The Pantracker Device will restart itself.

  6. The Pantracker Device will start up on the Home page.

If you continue to experience the problem your next step will be to do the Hard Reset of the Pantracker Device.

How to Perform a Hard Reset on your Pantracker Device 

  1. Select the safe to remove the battery from the Pantracker Device.
    1. Click on the Power button.

    2. Select the Safe Battery Swap option from the menu list.
  2. Click on the two metal buttons together to partially release the battery.

  3. This will push out the battery partially from the Pantracker Device.

  4. Press and Hold the power button and the trigger button at the same time (Please do this for 10 seconds). Then release both buttons at the same time.

  5. Press the battery back into the device. The device will start the Hard Reset process.

  6. The Pantracker Device will display that it's on the booting process.

  7. The Pantracker Device will restart itself.
