Working with Oova in Offline Mode

Oova Offline Mode is designed to maintain your work progress and delivery data when you are unable to access the Oova network.  There are several situations where this may occur:

  1. You are working in an area without mobile network coverage
  2. You have left the mobile network coverage area to a remote area without coverage
  3. You are unable to access your Oova account. 

While in Offline Mode, the Oova app will store all delivery data, photos and attachments to be uploaded to the Oova network when you are back in an area with mobile coverage and can re-login to the Oova app.

You are working in an area without mobile network coverage

  1.  From the Login page, select Work Offline
  2. This will redirect you to the Deliveries page, which will appear blank.
  3. You will now notice that the functionality of the app is reduced.  You can only scan delivery barcodes and view deliveries you've completed while offline.  See our Knowledgebase Articles on Scanning Delivery Barcodes and Viewing Completed Deliveries

You have left the mobile network coverage area

As you leave the coverage area, you will be logged out to the Oova network and will need to re-open your Oova App.  If you are in the process of a delivery and viewing your maps you may not notice this straight away.

On restarting the Oova App, you will need to open the app in Offline Mode.

  1.  As previously, from the Login page, select Work Offline
  2. This will redirect you to the Deliveries page, which will appear blank.

  3. As noted previously, you will now notice that the functionality of the app is reduced.  You can only scan delivery barcodes and view deliveries you've completed while offline.  See our Knowledgebase Articles on Scanning Delivery Barcodes and Viewing Completed Deliveries

You are unable to access your Oova account

If your Login fails for any reason, whether you:

Can't remember or are having issues with your username/password
OR
You don't have access to the mobile network.

You will be asked if you wish to switch to Offline Mode.

  1. When presented with the Login Failed popup which asks, "work offline now?" select Yes


  2. This will redirect you to the Deliveries page, which will appear blank.


  3. As noted previously, you will now notice that the functionality of the app is reduced.  You can only scan delivery barcodes and view deliveries you've completed while offline.  See our Knowledgebase Articles on Scanning Delivery Barcodes and Viewing Completed Deliveries
