This knowledge-based article provides steps on how to easily connect an OBD2 4G GPS tracker to your vehicle.
Before you begin
- For your safety ensure your vehicle is turned off before you start.
- If your vehicle has any electronic systems that might be affected by the installation, consider backing up any data or settings as a precaution.
- Confirm with the Bitberry team if the device is configured.
Steps to follow
- Locate the OBDII port in your vehicle.
PLEASE NOTE: The OBDII port is usually under the steering wheel or inside the glovebox. The location may vary from one vehicle manufacturer and or model to another - Insert the OBD2 4G GPS tracker into the OBD2 port firmly. Make sure it's securely plugged in.
- Turn on the ignition to power up the vehicle.
PLEASE NOTE: This step is necessary for the tracker to start working and communicating. - Check the device's lights for power and connectivity.
PLEASE NOTE: After installation, verify that the tracker is properly connected and transmitting data. You can do this by getting in touch with a Bitberry Team member.
