Reassigning work between different production areas

There exists several methods to move work between production devices within the Cut Optimiser interface.

Shifting work from the Outstanding items grid

To shift work from the Outstanding Items grid, modify the Cut Optimiser selectors to display the required items in the Outstanding Items Grid:

Select the items to be moved within the grid and using the mouse right click function, select the "Move to Production Line" item.

If the required device is within the selector menu, selecting it will directly move the items to the new device.

If you are unsure which device to move the work to, use the "Selector Tool" option to display further information regarding available devices prior to selecting the device to move the work to:

This window will display useful information such as how much work is already in queue to the devices and how the production time will change if the work is moved to an alternative device.

To move the work in this window, select the required device using the selector buttons on the left hand side of the grid and click the "Move Work" button. A prompt will appear to confirm the move and will be moved if OK is selected.

Shifting work using the Production Lines Summary grid

Similar to the above, display the items to be moved in the outstanding window and select the items that are to be moved.

Drag and drop the items onto the device that you want the work moved to in the Production Lines Summary Grid

Shifting work from the Bender summary grid

To shift work from one bender to another, the Bender can be selected, then right clicking the selection. Use the "Move work to other machine" option to use an automated re-allocator to another bender:

Work can be moved by number of work pieces or weight as required. The "Calculate" button will display a suggestion of how the work can be moved to a different device. Pressing "Apply Results" will shift the work for the selected items.
